New England Biolabs is a global life sciences company founded in the mid-1970s by a group of scientists. The company discovers and produces enzymes for molecular biology applications and supports the life sciences industry with high-quality products.

 

Challenge

 

New England Biolabs wanted to strengthen engagement with its B2B customer base. The company needed a digital platform that could support education, commerce, sales, service, and marketing in one connected experience. It also wanted to streamline new product launches and reduce friction in the purchasing process.

 

Solution

 

New England Biolabs partnered with XCentium to build a comprehensive digital ecosystem for global B2B commerce. Sitecore CMS supported content-rich public websites with dynamic personalization, helping scientists access educational resources and relevant product information.

 

Episerver B2B Commerce Cloud, part of Optimizely, delivered commerce capabilities including advanced product search, product recommendations, purchasing functionality, and online account management. Salesforce was integrated to provide a broader customer view and support real-time interactions across sales and service.

 

Master Data Management centralized and synchronized data to support more efficient customer service and inventory management. Third-party integrations were also added to improve functionality and reduce friction in the purchasing process.

 

Outcomes

 

The integrated solution brought together Sitecore, Insite Commerce, Salesforce, and Master Data Management to support a scalable global B2B commerce platform.
