Challenge

Consolidating subsidiaries


NEB was looking to enhance operational efficiency by consolidating their international subsidiary websites into the Sitecore platform. As part of their globalization strategy, they decommissioned their legacy regional website that was previously hosted on a non-Sitecore platform.


This transition aimed to streamline web management processes, ensure a consistent user experience across global sites, and leverage Sitecore's advanced features for better content management and digital marketing capabilities.

NEB partnered with XCentium to continue the global B2B ecommerce rollout. Already having sites deployed for US, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and China we launched the Japan site in Q2 of 2024.  



Outcome

Delivering a new regional language extension


We delivered a new extension of the existing www.neb.com footprint while streamlining the process to ensure efficiency and set the stage for future similar migrations.

Efficient Content Migration: We developed and implemented a smooth, systematic approach for the content migration, specifically tailored to handle language version-specific packages. This not only facilitated a seamless transition but also established a robust framework for future migrations of this nature.


Optimized Translation Workflow: We refined the workflow in the Globallink translation integration, and submitted 240 Japanese translation requests, which significantly improved the processing of translation documents. This optimization ensured that translations were handled quickly and accurately, enhancing the overall efficiency of the project.


Utilized Out-of-the-Box Functionality: We leveraged Sitecore's OOTB features to meet the diverse content needs of different regions. By utilizing these built-in capabilities, we ensured that the platform could effectively support regional content requirements without the need for extensive custom development.

Through these solutions, we not only addressed the immediate needs of the client but also positioned them for future success with a scalable and efficient content management strategy.
